April bicycle rally
It is organised on Sunday afternoons, during the spring school holidays by the Tourist Offices Of Jard and St Vincent sur Jard and l'Espace Enfance Jeunesse. The departure point is « Rue des Quatres Saisons »
Two circuits are on offer. One for children, parents and grandparents, on small roads or tracks
The second one is for mountain bikers of all levels who enjoy muddy ruts and crossing fords
In both cases, it is not a competition but more the pleasure of enjoying the good weather
It takes place on the nearest Saturday evening to 21st June, by the sea on the « Esplanade Clémenceau ». The Tourist Office, the local associations and the local council present the programme for the season. This presentation is followed by a demonstration of various dances (hip hop, flamenco or country). Then everyone gets on the dance floor for a lovely ball.

Since 2006, they have been organised in the open air theatre, Esplanade Clémenceau, every Wednesday night in July and August from 21.00 to 23.00.They are free and the type of music varie s: French and international songs are predominant, but you will also find jazz, pop, rock, accordion, brass band etc..
These are for the tourists as well as for the local people.
Three or four times during the summer, from 3 p.m on the Goulet beach, children, sometimes with the participation of their parents or grandparents are invited to build various sand castles , following their imagination . Free registration on site, and all participants are rewarded with a drink offered by the Tourist Office and pancakes offered by the nearby shopkeepers. Sometimes younger children can also enjoy a bouncy castle.
Once in July, once in August from 3 p.m near the tennis courts, an introductory course to the sport is held, thanks to the excellent collaboration we have with the archery section of the Centre Socio Culturel Talmondais.
Registration must be done at the Tourist Office , numbers are limited to 18 participants for safety reasons. This course is for real beginners and requires a small fee.
This course is followed by a contest and participants will not only have the pleasure of trying this sport, but will be offered a drink and might even win free entry tickets to the regional tourist sites.
Car Boot Sale
It traditionally takes place on July 14 on the Clos Thorel, close to the river Goulet.
In this beautiful wooded area, exhibitors and bargain hunters can enjoy the bar and restaurant set up by volunteers from the Tourist Office.
An original way to go down country roads, forest trails and coastal paths since you have the opportunity to take a break for an aperitif by the river, then continue your walk and later on eat the first course of the meal, then carry on and finally find yourself on the edge of the ocean to finish your meal in a friendly atmosphere and music.
Mussels and Chips evening
This is the biggest festive evening we organise, usually the first Sunday of August. Thirty volunteers are busy all evening for you, cooking good chips and of course the excellent mussels from the Bay of Aiguillon. Sitting comfortably under marquees with a panoramic view of the ocean to the Ile de Ré, you will be sure to have another excellent evening with live music and dancing.
This is another great festive summer evening, most often organised in the second half of August, and you will discover a speciality of our region: the mogettes. Cooked in the traditional manner by two Vincentian ladies, you will surely enjoy this white bean that will be accompanied by grilled meats. And the evening will end, of course, with dancing.
